In your own space, talk about your fannish origin story. How did you come to fandom, why did you choose your fannish name, do you have more than one secret identity? Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I started out in pro wrestling fandom in 1997 on my WebTV unit. Initially I was all about getting the inside scoops, the backstage news, all that fun stuff. Then I found a messageboard populated by other ladies, "Loco's Stuff". Lady fandom is much different to guy fandom and I loved it. From there I found fanfic, slash, things traditionally associated with fandom.
In my early days I was very much an organizer of things witha a keen interest in panfandom identity. Unfortunately, back then Wrestling fic was very much shunned as RPF. For better or worse, this meant most of my formative years were spent as an outsider looking in. 'Cept in my own fandom where all we had was each other.
So I started posting fic to message boards (that's how we rolled back then). I would go on to ran a massive fic archive, dabbling a bit in automated submission programming. Then I joined the RP fad and within 2 years burned out of fic based fandom.
After that I went back to my webdesign roots and built a massive wrestling fansite. News, screencaps, vids, photos, fan stories, forum - just goofy stuff and I had a blast! Unfortunately, an enterprise like that means eventually I had to mediate fan squabbles. Babysit. I had no interest in that at all. I create stuff, I am not a counselor. So, rather than deal with all that nonsense, I shut the site down and went back to guy fandom. I honed my troll skills in guy fandom and had a blast just being a fan running wild.

About two years ago I discovered "Lost" was available for Netflix streaming. Cool, because I didn't watch it when it aired live (a reoccuring pattern for me regarding most network television). Whatever, it's okay, glad I could binge watch it because I don't think I would have been a fan of the week to week format. Then, over a couple of episodes I met Henry Gale, er, Ben Linus, er....this show just got a lot more interesting!

Belatedly, I followed Michael Emerson to POI. I 'm not exactly sure when I started watching, fall of 2013ish. I'd DVR'd some episodes and distinctly remember "God Mode" being the first one I watched, probably in re-run, so I started at the beginning of those DVR episodes and by the end of that first night went ahead and ordered S1 and S2 DVDs from Amazon. I was hooked.
I was also back into lady fandom.
Now I primarily write and dabble. I just enjoy creating things and learning how to create different things.
